Vandalism Strikes Roseau, Followed by Church Burglary in Bemidji

remember this guy Michael Mooney he was convicted of vandalizing a Roseau Minnesota restaurant last winter and now he’s charged with attempted burglary at a Bemidji Minnesota church for background on all this here’s our story from last winter and from Bemidji this past week 28 year old Michael Mooney of Roseau has been charged with a pair of felonies in connection to vandalism at The Brick House bar and grill in Roseau burglary and first degree damage to property according to court documents police investigated a break-in sometime between January 16th and 19th someone had caused over a thousand dollars in Damages by spray painting walls and damaging electrical breakers on January 20th 20th during an interview with Chief Hodges at the police department Mooney was being interviewed about a theft at the Dollar General store when it was discovered spray paint on his shoes and a shoe print match those found at the restaurant the chief confronted Mooney about it and Mooney admitted to causing the damage saying quote he was bored 29 year old Michael Shane Mooney Jr of Pine City is facing criminal charges in Bemidji according to court records on June 1st at 8 15 PM deputies were dispatched to the Bemidji Baptist Church for a report of a window broken out a witness spotted Mooney in the church and so did a surveillance camera a leaf blower garden hose had been taken from an outbuilding Mooney was found hiding in a trailer at Wagner Plumbing nearby when law enforcement arrived he’s now been charged with felony first degree burglary felony attempted burglary of a religious building gross misdemeanor fourth degree burglary and misdemeanor damage to property I’m Neil Berg reporting for Sky News dot TV
