Valley City Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in DUI Crash: Harley Davidson Accident Under Investigation

VALLEY CITY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Valley City man, identified as 27-year-old Torrey Morehouse, was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on the evening of September 14, 2024. The accident occurred in the 800 block of 14th Street SW around 8:15 PM, with road conditions reported as wet and the weather cloudy.

Morehouse, who was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson westbound, lost control of the motorcycle, resulting in the bike coming to rest on top of him in the roadway. Emergency responders from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Valley City Police Department, and Barnes County Ambulance arrived at the scene.

Morehouse, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was first transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City before being transferred to Fargo’s Essentia Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities later confirmed that Morehouse was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was arrested for DUI, and the Valley City Police Department has requested further investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
