VALLEY CITY, BARNES COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – A man who forcibly raped a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint is now a registered sex offender residing in Valley City, North Dakota.
Alton Grant Mitzel, also known as Alton Redfox and Tony Redfox, was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition in Morton County on June 19, 2002. The horrifying incident involved a 13-year-old family friend whom he threatened with a knife to the throat before raping her. The girl had been told she could sleep at his home.
Mitzel received a 5-year sentence, with 3 years to serve and 2 years suspended, plus 4 years of supervised probation. He was later terminated from treatment due to non-participation and refusal to accept responsibility.
Now registered for life as a high-risk offender, Mitzel resides at 216 2nd Ave NE, Valley City, ND 58072 in Barnes County. He is listed as homeless in addition to that residence.
Mitzel is described as 5’6″, 190 lbs, with brown eyes, black hair, and tattoos including a rose with the name Heather on his chest.
