MAHNOMEN, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A Mahnomen, Minnesota man is recovering at a Fargo hospital after he was assaulted and set on fire last night.
Neil Berg here in Mahnomen Minnesota with the report of a brutal vicious attack last night it happened in the garage behind this home here in Mahnomen according to Mahnomen County sheriff Doug Krier three suspects attacked Bryan Tito Smith in his garage beat him up doused him with gasoline and lit him on fire Smith is now in a Fargo hospital he was life flighted last night in serious condition according to family members the suspects also poured gasoline around the house and we’re going to set it on fire the sheriff says the fire department was not called for a fire to the home really there’s not much that we can report night right now it’s still in its early stages we did get a call before midnight last night of a person that was at the hospital the allegation was he was in his garage got assaulted somebody had poured gas on him and tried to light him and then took his vehicle officers went over to the hospital and talked with him he was taken to Fargo I don’t know what his condition is right now but this morning we did locate his vehicle about 20 miles east of Mahnomen near the Mahnomen clear water line on one of the snowmobile trails any word of motivation for this no like I said it’s still under investigation we’re the early stages of it and now I also have family members that said that these what is it four suspects we were told three three that they had also tried to set the house on fire with family members in it yeah and I don’t know anything about that right now like I said we’re still in the early stages of the investigation
