EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Another iconic bar in the Northern Valley closed its doors this Saturday afternoon. “Sickies”, formerly “Whitey’s” confirmed with TRF News that its East Grand Forks location is closed as of 4 pm Saturday.

A new Sickies is opening in Fargo and they close the one down in EGF. That shows just how much better the economy is in Fargo compared to GF/EGF. Fargo is literally sucking the life blood out of every other community within a 100 miles.

I hate seeing businesses fail, and I hate seeing empty businesses. Before coronavirus the place was always busy. Went there once when things were starting to calm down and it was pretty dead in there. And sadly the food wasn't what it used to be. Hopefully we get something really good in there next.
Never went there while it was Sickies but I spent A LOT of time there in the mid 80's when it was Whitey's. I bounced from Whitey's to The Antique and another across the street…for the life of me I can't remember the name of that one.
time to move back to GF side!
