Update: Two Officers Injured By Gunshots, Two Suspects Fatally Shot in Wadena County, Minnesota Incident

WADENA COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Two officers survived gunshots and 2 suspects were killed in a Saturday night shootout in Wadena, County, Minnesota. The incident followed a traffic stop south of Sabeka. A Deputy suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. A Sabeka Police Officer was hit by gunfire in his vest and is O.K.. Two suspects were shot and killed.
we have an update now to a shooting we told you about in wadena county saturday night two officers were shot and survived two suspects were killed uh this now in from the wadena county sheriff’s department quote at approximately 8 48 p.m saturday evening the wadena county sheriff’s office a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic offense near the intersection of 205th avenue and 280th street in north germany township this would be uh south of sebeka the vehicle eventually stopped near 205th avenue and 270th street a struggle ensued between the deputy and the motorist a second motorist then arrived on scene and a short time later a sabika police department officer arrived and the struggle continued a short time later at least one of the motorists began shooting at the officers one of the officers returned fire all four were struck by gunfire here’s a bit of that radio traffic at the time you know 41 24 stuff we’re going to go to 33 traffic the injured deputy was taken by ambulance to saint joseph’s health in park rapids and then transferred to north memorial health hospital in robbinsdale with a serious but non-life-threatening injuries the sapika officer was struck in the vest and did not require medical treatment one of the two other people who were shot died at the scene one of the suspects the other was taken by ambulance to tri-county health care in wadena where they later died two of the suspects both of them are deceased the wadena county sheriff’s office bureau of criminal apprehension and crime scene personnel are currently at the scene the investigation is in its very early stages and more information will be released by the bca at a later date there is no ongoing threat to the public but the wadena county sheriff’s office is urging people to stay away from the area at this time unquote that’s from sheriff michael carr of the wadena county sheriff’s department in minnesota i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
