we have an update now regarding this uh incident in Mayville on this Wednesday evening Grand Forks SWAT called in uh this from the trail County Sheriff’s Department January 18th this Wednesday deputies from Trail County Sheriff’s Office Agents from the North Dakota Bureau of criminal investigation and the Department of Homeland Security went to a rural Mayville North Dakota residence to serve a search warrant a male resident barricaded himself in a room in a shop building the Grand Forks Regional SWAT team was requested to assist negotiators spoke with them by phone attempting to get him to come out the 59-year-old male was pronounced dead at 6 38 PM due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound the trail County Sheriff has requested the assistance of the Minnesota Department of Criminal apprehension to investigate the incident due to the involvement of both the trail counties Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Bureau of criminal investigation no names are identities are listed yet in this news release I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
