UPDATE: Security Guard Accused of Assault at Casino

MAHNOMEN, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A security guard involved in a beating incident at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota has now been charged. Eugene Davis of Ogema is facing a misdemeanor charge of Assault. The prosecutor says that may be moved up to a felony level charge.
we have an update on this uh beating incident at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen Minnesota last week the security guard involved in this Eugene Davis of ogema has now also been charged we’ll have more details on the other side of this video you can watch a part of what happened now I just talked with Mahnomen County prosecutor Julie Bruggeman who says 43 year old Eugene Davis of ogema the security guard here has been charged with a misdemeanor of a fifth degree assault she says they’re still waiting for other security video and if it proves that Davis knocked out the individual that charge could be moved up to a felony assault but again they’re still waiting for other security video here to make that case the of the person on the receiving end of that beating Sean Wade was charged earlier for what happened before during and after this incident here’s our report from that here are the charges against Sean Wade felony terroristic threats for after this incident he allegedly threatened an ER nurse he’s also been charged with felony fourth degree assault of a peace officer and two misdemeanor counts of assault for kicking a security guard and allegedly assaulting another male at the casino now here’s what happened according to the criminal complaint quote on May 31st Wednesday a sergeant with the white Earth Police Department responded to the Shooting Star Casino on a report of a disorderly mail that was being aggressive with Casino security upon arriving the sergeant entered the casino and observed Casino security with a male that was handcuffed laying on the floor the man later identified as Sean Lee Wade appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was screaming the sergeant was informed by Casino security that when they attempted to identify Wade he refused when security asked him to leave the property that’s when Wade became aggressive Casino uh security also informed the sergeant that Wade assaulted a male on the casino floor when the sergeant walked over to speak with the male and female they both refused to give statements as the star Sergeant was speaking with the male and female other deputies and Casino security were attempting to get weighed to his feet the sergeant observed Wade kick an officer and another security guard the sergeant spoke with the casino security guard who stated he observed Wade assault another male on the casino floor the casinos Casino security stated when he attempted to go uh Hands-On with Wade Wade struck him in the face a couple times with a closed Fist and elbowed him a few times after striking him in the face while Wade was getting medically cleared he sat up on the bed and made direct threats to the emergency room nurse while the nurse was checking weight in Wade told her quote I’m going to effing kill you unquote the sergeant then went to casino surveillance to review video of the incident upon reviewing the video of the surgeon observed the security guard approach Wade after Wade and the other male started to fight Wade was on the floor with the other male the security guard God was able to separate them but started to wrestle with Wade still on the floor Wade has observed getting his uh hands and arms free and striking the security guard while reviewing the sergeant then observe the security guard get on top of weight and he struck weight in the head face area with his head approximately three times unquote that’s from the criminal complaint now as I said the security guard in this incident 43 year old Eugene Davis of Okemah has now been charged with misdemeanor assault and that charge could move up to felony assault the prosecutor says they’re still waiting on more surveillance video on whether or not that case will be approved as a knockout punch we’ll have an update as soon as more information is available I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. Show the whole video instead of just parts from a bystander. If this guy hit the security guard then he should get knocked out! The county should drop the charges against the guard!

  2. Security dude really operating at a civilian level. Yeah they “watch” but can’t do much. You become the aggressor when the subject is amply subdued yet you beat them. That’s called use of force. Which in the state of MN, is only allowed by police officers. So yeah security dude shouldn’t have thrown hands.
