UPDATE: Second Individual Sentenced in 2021 Polk County Drug Overdose Case – Exclusive Video

POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A second man charged with 3rd Degree Murder in the 2021 drug overdose of Katie Flick in Polk County, Minnesota was sentenced today.
the second man in the July 2021 drug overdose death of Katie flick in P County was sentenced today under a plea deal Georgie petkov pled guilty to third deegree murder for his role in the death of flick he was sentenced to 10 years of supervised probation for that charge a violation of that probation could mean serving an 11year sentence that was put aside if he doesn’t violate probation he was also ordered to pay $12,000 Dollar in restitution to the victim’s family Andre metf the other man charged with third deegree murder in this case was already sentenced to 7 years in prison in order to pay $122,000 in restitution to the family of the victim for background on all this here’s our report from July of 2021 the two men have now been charged with murder in connection to the suspected Monday evening overdose death of 32-year-old Katie flick of erskin in a vehicle here on Highway 1 102 Northwest of ferle Monday Night Georgie petkov also of ersin the driver of the vehicle survived an overdose petkov and Andre metf of KRON now each face a charge of third degree murder for the alleged sale and or distribution of a controlled substance a reading from the criminal complaint quote on July 26 at approximately 8:46 P.M uh Minnesota state patrol Trooper was on routine Patrol when he observed a black passenger car uh the trooper observed the car was stopped on the right shoulder and that it still had its engine on and that a passenger door was wide open the trooper stopped his Patrol vehicle behind the car to check on the occupants upon exiting his Squad The Trooper approached the black passenger car and could uh uh hear small children crying inside the vehicle the trooper observed there was a female who clearly was deceased on the ground on the passenger side of the vehicle the trooper further observed there were two small children in the back seat of the passenger car and there was a male individual in the driver’s seat of the passenger car the trooper noted the maale was slumped over and had a blue gray appearance and was not moving the trooper called for assistance uh the trooper and a deputy approached the passenger car opened the driver’s door upon doing so the trooper observed a pack of beer at the feet of the male driver as well as an open container in the center Cil the trooper noted the male driver had shallow breaths but still had a blue gray skin tone a County EMS arrived on the scene at the same time and the driver who was subsequently identified as Georgie petkov was removed from the driver’s seat and placed on his back uh the trooper observed that petkov was unresponsive but was breathing and had constricted pupils uh County EMS administered a dose of Naran to petkov who then became responsive petkoff was then able to get up on his own petkoff advised EMS staff that he had taken Percocet based on his training experience it appeared to the trooper that petkov had overdose on opioids of some sort after identifying petkov the trooper learned there was a warrant out for his arrest and that pof’s driver’s privilege in Minnesota was revoked the female lying outside the passenger door who was subsequently identified as uh uh KF was determined to be deceased uh Deputy olssen spoke to one of the feral fire department firefighters who stated that the two young children appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion the trooper and Deputy both noted that the two children were young and well under the age of 16 years again both men now sentenced in connection to to another drug case uh none of which ever has a good ending I’m Neil Berg reporting for I [Music] trfnews.i234.me
