UPDATE: Polk County Wildfire Nearing End, Highway 2 Reopened

POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Crews are wrapping up the fight against a wildfire in Polk County late on this Monday afternoon. Highway 2 has now reopened.
Neil Berg here in this uh polk county wildfire at uh 4 30 a.m highway 2 here okay that’s highway 32 straight ahead there uh traffic still being held back they’re still fighting some fire down there but it does look like it’s uh starting to get wrapped up here i just talked with a volunteer uh firefighter who said he did see a tanker plane make uh one pass over the uh fire scene here so i’m gonna get a shot of that never did see it but for the most part they’re starting to get things uh wrapped up on this pretty large fire fire crews from uh all kinds of surrounding communities red lake falls uh mcintosh mentor fertile crookston uh fire department volunteer fire department for now uh it looks like uh things are wrapping up here we’ll keep you updated if anything else happens and try to get more information if any uh structures were lost that sort of thing so in polk county emile carlson reporting for trfnews.i234.me
