BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Court documents just filed lay out a story of a drug deal gone bad near Bemidji, Minnesota last January that resulted in the murder of 2 men.
we now have details regarding a double homicide near Bemidji last January Darren stevie has been charged with two counts of felony second degree intentional murder in the shooting deaths of 39 year old Adam Thorpe of Maple Grove and 41 year old Jason McDonald of superior Wisconsin Christie trisko and Daniel Lindy are charged with aiding an offender after the fact court documents lay out a drug deal gone bad according to court documents Stevie claimed the murder victims arrived after Stevie invited them onto his property to discuss a methamphetamine trafficking Stevie claimed that he informed Jason McDonald that he had secured money and other property that he could give in exchange for one to two pounds of meth Stevie stated that he was hoping that McDonald would bring a significant amount of meth with him to the meeting Stevie then claimed that after McDonald and Adam Thorpe arrived he escorted them into the garage during discussions about the meth transaction Stevie stated that Thorp displayed a handgun and Stevie forcibly took the handgun from Thorp and shot him in the head Stevie informed investigators that the only firearm in the garage was Adam thorpes 45 caliber handgun Stevie further claimed that he took the Thorpes handgun and then shot McDonald who was standing approximately 10 to 15 feet away across the garage Stevie informed investigators they were killed immediately Stevie also stated that he attempted to conceal his crimes by building a large bonfire in the back of the property and dismembering and burning the bodies he also stated that Daniel Lindy helped move the body parts Stevie changed his story and informed investigators that after he killed of the victims he collected cash and valuables from the bodies and searched McDonald’s Accord for money and drugs Stevie claimed that he collected approximately five thousand dollars from the two bodies and from locations in the car Stevie then changed his story once again and claimed that he informed Kristi trisko about the murders and that he had collected a civic significant amount of money from the victims Stevie then claimed that he and trisko spent them he’s stolen from the victims at various locations in Beltrami County an stevie further claimed that he dismembered a victim by cutting off his legs and that Daniel Lindy helped him move body parts into the fire pit in an effort to dispose of the bodies I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
