UPDATE: Hypothermia Suspected in Body Found Near Northwood, ND

NORTHWOOD, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Officials now say a body found near Northwood, North Dakota on Monday was a case of hypothermia. The victim has been identified at 85-year old Gerald Thingelstad.
breaking news out of Grand Forks County it’s now believed to be a case of hypothermia we have an update regarding a body found here some six miles west and three miles south of Northwood on Monday morning this now in from the sheriff’s department quote at approximately 10 30 a.m on Monday sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from a rural mail carrier who found the body of a male in a ditch near the 200 block of 41st Street Northeast and Rural Northwood deputies arrived on scene and located the body of Gerald thingelstead 85 who lived at a nearby Residence at this time investigators believe thingelstead walked away from his residence in the early morning hours of Monday and became disoriented in the rural area before succumbing to freezing temperatures fall play is not suspected at this time and there is not believed to be any danger to the public anyone with additional information is asked to contact attacked the Sheriff’s Office investigation division at 701-780-8302 I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. Not believed to be any danger to the public…huh? A man, through a sad set of circumstances, ends up dead from hyperthermia, and yet someone felt there was a need to state that? That man's actions effected himself, how could that endanger the public? Gotta feed the masses their paranoia I guess.
