Uh this update now from Grand Forks police regarding the arrest of uh they now say two people here at the Ramada Inn in Grand Forks uh late on this Tuesday afternoon. Police have now confirmed a federal agency was present from Lieutenant Travis Benson. Quote on this Tuesday, 12:58 p.m. Grand Forks Police Street Crimes Unit learned that a male subject with an outstanding arrest warrant was in a room at the Ramada Inn. A search warrant was obtained to allow officers access into the room. Upon attempting to serve the warrant, officers were refused entry and the occupants barricaded themselves inside. Grand Forks Regional SWAT and Grand Forks Regional Crisis Negotiation Team were activated to assist with the resolution of the incident as it was believed one of the occupants was armed with a firearm. Prior to their arrival, officers were able to talk with the occupants of the motel room on telephone and ultimately able to convince them to surrender. Taken into custody were Jordan Growner, 35, of Fargo, for a probation revocation warrant out of Ward County for armed robbery, uh, burglary, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. and Sky Larson, 21, of Grand Forks, for failure to appear and disobedience of a judicial order out of Grand Forks County. Further criminal charges will be considered pending complete results of this investigation. A less lethal impact munition was fired at the glass door of the hotel room for tactical reasons. Nobody was injured during the warrant service. However, several guests were temporarily asked to evacuate their rooms for s.
