Update: Ex-husband and attorney jailed after mother of five dies, leaving them in debt

WARREN, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A family member posted on facebook that 31-year old Carissa Odegaard has died. She was the mother of 5 children with her ex-husband, Anders Odegaard, what is now in jail, suspected of assaulting her.
the 31 year old carissa odegaard of grand forks has died from injuries sustained in an assault her ex-husband 31 year old anders odegaard is being held in the marshall county jail pending formal charges on tuesday deputies responded to his warren minnesota home and found his ex-wife carissa inside the home unresponsive with visible injuries consistent with assault according to the sheriff’s office children had fled the scene and were not injured carissa was flown to sanford hospital in fargo and has passed away law enforcement has not released a motive in this case but a look through court records shows anders was strapped with considerable debt the pair legally separated on july 3rd of 2020. court records show in september of 2021 he owed student loans of over one hundred three thousand dollars plus credit card debt of nearly ninety thousand dollars and eleven thousand dollars of back payment for child support all totaling over two hundred four thousand dollars as we said the pair have uh five children ranging in age from three to ten years old he was ordered to pay 1983 dollars a month in child support and was responsible for the children’s medical and dental expenses court records also show back in september of last year he was earning six thousand one hundred sixty six dollars a month as the mercer county state’s attorney out in beulah north dakota but now the mercer county website shows uh he’s no longer listed as the state’s attorney again law enforcement has not released any possible motive in this case as the prosecutor will likely now consider a murder charge we’ll have all the latest on this case as soon as uh formal charges are filed i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me

    There is no reason a licensed atty even with a 💩 degree from the UND can't earn 6 figures if he moved to the Citys and worked long hours. Student Loan debt can be deferred for as long as you are alive by paying as little as $15 a month.
