UPDATE: EGF Woman Could Face Up to 20 Years in Prison and $100,000 Fine

CROOKSTON, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Sentencing for an East Grand Forks woman charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a local farm operation has been delayed until next month. Rebecca Hajicek faces a maximum sentence of 20-years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
an East Grand Forks woman Rebecca Rae Thompson now known as Rebecca ray hi check was in Polk County court today she was to be sentenced under a plea agreement for allegedly taking as much as $100,000 while working as a bookkeeper for pulled Rebecca farms between August of 2015 to February of 2016 late this afternoon the sentencing date for hi check was pushed back to November 14th because she’s scheduled to have surgery in court documents filed before today’s sentencing the prosecutor had harsh words for hi check and the statement of fact saying quote the defendant who is 42 years old appears to have spent much of her adult life stealing and lying to others hi check has a long criminal history that includes eight misdemeanor convictions for worthless checks theft and cruelty to animals she also has a previous conviction for felony theft by swindle but for now the end of this recent case remains in limbo until her sentencing which is now scheduled for November in Crookston I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
