UPDATE: Driver Facing Criminal Charges After Crashing Into DOT Crew Near Lakota, ND

LAKOTA, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A criminal charge has now been filed against a semi driver from Emerado, North Dakota in connection to an October 2023 crash near Lakota on Highway 2. Randall Pike allegedly crashed his semi into a DOT road crew, seriously injuring one of the workers.
semi driver 58-year-old Randall Pike of emiro North Dakota has now been charged with felony Reckless and dangerman after crashing into a do crew near Lakota on October 9th of 2023 court documents say he was making a call on his cell phone when he crashed into the road crew seriously injuring Levi smj for background on all this here’s our report following that October crash we have an update on a multiv crash some 2 miles east of Lakota on Highway 2 at 1:26 p.m. on this Monday afternoon the North Dakota High Patrol says uh transportation workers were patching a section of US Highway two here two workers were outside of their vehicle patching the roadway and uh that and one worker was driving an international plow truck uh the international 4000 a semi was eastbound on Highway way to when it’s struck an unoccupied pickup truck a worker patching the roadway additional patching equipment and the uh snowplow truck prior to entering the median where it came to arrest the patrol has now identified the injured parties the driver of the semi here was 58-year-old a Randall Pike of Amaro North Dakota who was injured uh possible charges are still pending uh the uh driver of the snowplow truck that was hit 37-year-old Adam slabach of Petersburg was not injured and The Pedestrian do worker who was at work patching the road who suffered serious injuries Levi smog SM SMI of Michigan North Dakota again a felony charge of reckless endangerment now filed against 58-year-old semi- driver Randall Pike of emiro North Dakota I’m Carlson reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
