UPDATE: Charges Filed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Near Devils Lake, North Dakota

DEVILS LAKE, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Devils Lake, North Dakota woman is facing a criminal charge, following a fatal, pedestrian hit & run crash last Friday. Miranda Young has been charged with: Duty in Accident Involving Death.
we have an update regarding a fatal vehicle pedestrian crash south of Devil’s Lake on Highway 57 near the ski jump early last Friday morning 36-year-old Miranda Lynn young of Devil’s Lake has been charged with felony Duty in accident involving death or injury that’s a class B felony that carries a maximum of 5 years in prison if convicted according to court documents the Bureau of Indian Affairs responded to the scene and founded deceased male who isn’t named a short time afterwards Devil’s Lake law enforcement received a call from Young stating she believed she’d hit a person with her vehicle on the reservation the investigation determined young was driving when her vehicle struck and killed the man court records also indicate that 8 hours prior to the fatal accident young was stopped and cited for speeding 81 mph in a 40 mph Zone uh that incident was about one mile from the scene of the fatal accident I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
