MAHNOMEN, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Charges have now been filed against a man, who wound up being beaten by a security guard, following other incidents at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota Wednesday. Shawn Wade of Lengby is facing criminal charges. Possible charges against the security guard who beat him are also pending.
Charges have been filed against Shawn Lee Wade for felony terroristic threats, felony fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, and two counts of misdemeanor assault. He allegedly assaulted a male on the casino floor and threatened an ER nurse. Wade was reportedly extremely intoxicated and became aggressive when casino security attempted to identify him. He kicked an officer and a security guard and struck another security guard in the face. The security guard who beat Wade may also face charges. The incident was captured on casino surveillance video.
38-year-old Shawn Lee Wade of Langby, Minnesota, has been charged with felony terroristic threats, felony fourth-degree assault of a peace officer, and two misdemeanor counts of assault. Wade is accused of assaulting a male on the casino floor, kicking a security guard, and assaulting another male at the Shooting Star Casino in Menomon, where he was arrested. Wade was reportedly extremely intoxicated and refused to leave the property when asked to do so by security, becoming aggressive towards them. The security guard who administered a beating to Wade, which was caught on camera, may also be facing charges. While reviewing the footage, the sergeant observed the security guard approach Wade after the latter started to fight another male, and Wade was on the floor with the other male. The security guard was able to separate them but started to wrestle with Wade while he was still on the floor. Wade is observed getting his hands and arms free and striking the security guard. The security guard then struck Wade in the head and face area with his head approximately three times. The charges against both men are pending.

I dont care what shawn wade did prior to the video clip i seen. securities job was to secure wade until law enforcement got there it looked to me like wade was secure with someone heavier in full mount on him and a gaurd holding each arm not the headbutting and punching. That makes all three of them gaurds guilty of assault. Excessive force these gaurds are clearly not trained for this type of situation.
