UPDATE: Bemidji Couple Suspected in Brother-In-Law’s Murder

BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A Bemidji, Minnesota husband and wife, Jannelle and Austin Johnson have been named as suspects in the murder of Jesse Farris. Their brother-in-law. Authorities allege Jesse Farris was shot to death by Jannelle Johnson on Christmas Day evening.
we have an update now regarding the christmas day shooting i news uh first told you about 36 year old janelle johnson is being held on a second degree murder charge in connection with the shooting death of her brother-in-law year 48-year-old jesse harris this from the beltrami county sheriff’s department quote on saturday december 26 at 12 11 a.m beltrami county dispatch center received a call from an adult female identified as janelle johnson aged 36 of bemidji reporting that at approximately an hour earlier she and her husband austin johnson of bemidji had traveled to their brother-in-law’s residence located in the 5 000 block of lavinia road in uh bemidji to confront him over some alleged domestic abuse incidents between he and janelle’s sister a verbal argument ensued and then became physical where at that point is alleged that janelle johnson brandished a firearm that austin johnson had brought with him to the residence and shot her brother-in-law jesse ferris age 48. they then left the residence and later reported the incident to law enforcement deputies responded to the residence in the five thousand block of la vigna road and located ferris deceased outside the residence the results of a preliminary autopsy completed by the midwest examiner’s office confirmed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds janelle johnson is currently being held in the beltrami county jail under a charge of second-degree murder austin johnson is currently being held in the beltrami county jail under a charge of aiding an offender both are expected to be arraigned in beltrami district court on tuesday the investigation is ongoing no further information is being released that was from the beltrami county sheriff’s department i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
