POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We have an update regarding an Amish buggy being hit Friday night. The buggy driver survived with minor injuries. Jarrid Wang of Fosston is now facing charges.
We have an update now regarding an Amish buggy being hit by a vehicle uh east of Winger, Minnesota on County 1 on uh Friday. Uh the driver of the Amish buggy, we were told, suffered a gash to his head and survived the accident. He was okay uh beyond minor injuries, but Jared Wang of Fost is facing criminal charges. Reading a part from the uh statement of probable cause, the uh victim told the deputy he was heading east on the shoulder of the road in his uh horsedrawn trailer. He feels the accident is his fault. He did not have any lights or slowmoving vehicle sign. He was thrown from the trailer and came became conscious again after being hit. He saw what he believed to be a white Suburban with heavy front end damage drive out of a field and drive east on County 1. The Suburban was leaking fluids and making a rubbing sound as it drove away and did not think the Suburban could have made it far. One of his sons called for help. Uh the victim sustained a laceration to the back of his head approximately 1 inch long. He preferred to his uh he referred to his wife to provide treatment. He valued each of his two horses at between four to $5,000. Uh the deputy located a white 2012 white GMC Yukon Den Denali with disabling damage to the front right portion of the vehicle a mile and a half from the scene of the accident. It was unoccupied by the registered o owner was Wang. Uh Wang was uh later found and administered a field sobriety test uh which had a preliminary result of 0.252 uh which is three times the legal limit. He was placed under arrest and now charged uh with felony possession of a controlled substance psilocybin and gross misdemeanors of criminal vehicular operation under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence.
