Happens a lot people hit the brakes hard on a yellow light and never look in the mirror when probably the pickup and the semi would have made it through on the yellow before it turns red although that light is hatful it changes fast we always slow even if it's green
I was the driver of that pickup, so just to clarify some speculation…I gradually slowed down on a yellow, and was just sitting there waiting for the light to turn green. I had NO WARNING I was about to be nearly killed by an 80,000 lb semi that was clearly distracted and blew the light at over 50 MPH!! Hardest hit I've EVER had times about 20!! I'm in unimaginable pain with a broken Vertibra, and every muscle and joint in my body aching. The Doctor told my wife and I that I was hit SO HARD my eyeballs partially popped out of my head upon impact! They are sore and blood red today. He also said if I wasn't wearing my seatbelt I'd be dead. If I was in a smaller vehicle I'd be dead. The airbags did NOT deploy. Thank you and God Bless EVERYONE that provided aid and comfort! 🙏🇺🇲
