And all those ice fisherman were thrilled that the ice has stayed so long. It's gonna be a mess from Browns Valley north and south this year as well as all the pothole lakes. This is gonna soooo suck!
If you remember the 1979 flood (not 1997), this year's weather is eerily similar along with the very late melt. In '79 we had the 5th largest flood here (49 feet) from only 55 inches of snow; so I am guessing we will get to at least 50 feet – probably more (52 feet?) because our snow total was around 77 inches. I hope I am wrong.
Fact of the matter is, a serious floor IS coming.
