UND Forensic Pathology Confirms Identity as Investigation Persists in EGF Officer-Involved Shooting

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) UND Forensic Pathology has confirmed the identity of a man killed Tuesday in rural East Grand Forks as 42-year old Lucas Gilbertson. The investigation in exactly what happened during that officer involved shooting continues. A preliminary report is expected Friday or Monday.
as we reported Wednesday the victim of that officer involved shooting in rural East Grand Forks was Lucas Gilbertson but this update now from the Minnesota BCA in a news release uh Wednesday evening quote youd forensic pathology has identified the man police killed in a force incident uh in P County Lucas Paul Gilberts and 42 of rural East Grand Forks died after being shot Minnesota Bureau of criminal apprehension continued to actively investigate this incident on January 9th the py sheriff’s office East Grand Forks Police Department and pine to Prairie drug task force executed an arrest warrant at a residence in Reinhardt Township at one point the suspect exited the residence and returned into the residence followed by officers shortly after the suspect returned into the residence there was an officer involved the shooting the susp suspect was trans transported by ambulance to alru hospital and uh later died now and as we also reported uh this is under investigation and I was told uh by a spokesperson for the Minnesota BCA they should have a preliminary report on either probably Friday or Monday of what happened in this officer involved shooting I’m Neil Berg reporting for in trfnews.i234.me
