UK Keeps Israeli Settler Sanctions Under Review Amid Rising West Bank Tensions

LIVERPOOL, England (trfnews.i234.me) – Britain is considering further sanctions against Israeli settlers in the West Bank due to escalating tensions, Foreign Minister David Lammy said Sunday. The UK previously imposed sanctions in February and May this year, targeting extremist groups involved in settler violence against Palestinians.

Lammy, who took office in July following a Labour election victory, stressed the new government’s commitment to addressing the issue in collaboration with G7 and European partners. While no new sanctions were announced, Lammy emphasized that the situation remains under close watch, citing concerns over inflamed tensions and escalatory behavior in the region.
