Cass County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Two women are facing serious drug trafficking charges in Fargo after separate incidents led police to confiscate fentanyl, meth, and paraphernalia. Both cases unfolded in September, according to court records.
On September 21, officers found Samantha E. George of Fargo asleep behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle parked at the Super 8 Motel on North 38th Street. Police said George had four separate packages of fentanyl and two vials of methamphetamine in her possession. She is now charged with felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl as well as theft of property.
In a separate case on September 19, officers discovered Alazae Torres of West Fargo asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle on South University Drive. A search revealed eight grams of fentanyl, a scale, and other drug paraphernalia. Torres faces felony charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fentanyl continues to be a major concern for law enforcement across North Dakota. Authorities warn the drug is often mixed with other substances, dramatically increasing the risk of fatal overdoses. Local police and health agencies encourage community members to report suspicious activity and seek help for those struggling with addiction.
Both cases remain under investigation, and no trial dates have been set at this time.
