Two-Vehicle Crash in Martin County – One Driver Injured

Silver Lake Township, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A two-vehicle crash occurred at 1:48 PM on February 24, 2025, at the intersection of MN Highway 15 and 50th St in Silver Lake Township, Martin County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2018 Chevy Equinox, driven by 62-year-old Patrick John Graif of Fairmont, MN, was traveling eastbound on 50th St when it collided with a northbound 2005 GMC Yukon, driven by 47-year-old Jacob Thomas Fontenot of Milford, IA.

Emergency responders, including the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Fairmont Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance, assisted at the scene. Graif sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Fairmont Hospital for treatment. Fontenot and his passenger, 46-year-old Noah Nathaniel Leiding of Ceylon, MN, were uninjured and were not transported for medical care.

Authorities confirmed that both drivers and the passenger were wearing seat belts, airbags deployed in both vehicles, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol has marked the investigation as complete.
