Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) – Two men were injured Monday afternoon in a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a gravel truck about four miles south of Badger, Minnesota.
According to Roseau County Sheriff Steve Gust, the crash occurred around 4:11 p.m. on County Road 3 when a northbound white Ford pickup truck, reported to be driving erratically, struck a southbound 2020 Mack gravel truck head-on.
The driver of the pickup, Timothy Norman Peters, 59, of Badger, was airlifted to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The gravel truck driver, Steven Nathaniel Current, 78, of Puposky, was transported to LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau.
Authorities say Peters is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
