Two Injured in Red Lake County Collision: Non-Life-Threatening Injuries Reported

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Red Lake County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Grace Marie Gieseke, 24, of Brooks, and Scott Lee Doyle, 57, of Red Wing, were both transported to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, where they were treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening by troopers at the scene.

The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. when Gieseke, traveling eastbound on County Road 1, collided with Doyle, who was heading northbound on Highway 59, near Plummer, Minnesota.

Both Gieseke and Doyle were reported to be wearing seatbelts during the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident’s cause, but early reports indicate no serious injuries were sustained.
