BUXTON, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A rear-end collision on Interstate 29 northbound, near mile marker 120, left two people injured late Sunday morning. The crash occurred at approximately 11:22 AM on August 18, 2024, about two miles north of Buxton.

A 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by a 24-year-old male from Reynolds, ND, collided with the rear of a 2000 Chevrolet Prism, driven by a 59-year-old female from Mayville, ND. The impact caused the Hyundai to come to rest on the right shoulder facing north, while the Chevrolet ended up in the median facing southwest.

The driver of the Chevrolet and a 19-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai were both injured and transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. The driver of the Hyundai was uninjured. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident, and charges are pending.
