Two Injured In Itasca County Collision

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Itasca County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Sarah Marie Scheff ,(35) of Bigfork, and a 15-year-old male passenger were injured in the accident Sunday in Stokes Township.

According to the State Patrol report, a northbound 2019 Chevy Equinox driven by Harold Wayne Boege, (83) of Marcell, struck the southbound 2022 Toyota Camry Scheff was driving. Authorities say Scheff was attempting to make a left turn at the time of the accident reported just before 12pm. Scheff and her passenger were taken to Bigfork Valley Hospital, and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Boege suffered no apparent injury.

All were wearing seat-belts. Road conditions were listed as dry. Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
