Two Incidents of Use of Force in Pine County, Minnesota Occur within 2 Hours

PINE COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Minnesota BCA is investigating 2 use of force incidents within 2 hours in Pine County on Tuesday.
the Minnesota BCA is investigating two incidents involving gunfire in Pine County Minnesota on Tuesday the first one use of force incident involving the Pine County Sheriff’s Office it happened just before 2 p.m in Pine City deputies were attempting to apprehend a man wanted on a felony warrant at one point deputies fired their service weapons striking and injuring the subject they provided medical treatment at the scene until the subject was taken to an area hospital for treatment where he is in critical condition the investigation is still in the early stages the deputies were wearing body cameras the BCA will release more information pending further investigation then at uh 4 pm another use of force incident involving the Minnesota state patrol and Pine County Sheriff’s Office it happened on the northbound Interstate 35 between mile markers 187 and 88 a few miles south of Sandstone Minnesota state patrol troopers were pursuing a vehicle for speeding when it went off the road into a ditch prior to the vehicle leaving the road Troopers had deployed Stop Sticks but it’s unclear if they were effective Pine County sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene the subject who was the driver alone in the vehicle did not exit the vehicle and it was not responding to commands at one point a deputy fired a less than lethal round which broke the vehicle’s windows then deployed a canine the subject still did not respond when deputies approached they saw the subject deceased inside the vehicle with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the Head a handgun was recovered from inside note Trooper our Deputy fired their service weapon the investigation is still in the early stages Troopers and deputies were wearing body cameras the BCA will release more information pending further investigation I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. If said subject had followed police orders, he would just be sitting in jail. Now said subject will sue the police force and win millions. Doesn’t matter what a long record said subject has.
