Two area men face charges after being found slumped over while inside vehicles in separate incidents on Sunday.
James Richard Shaugabay, (32) of Thief River Falls was cited for 5th Degree Controlled Substance, Driving After Cancellation and DWI following reports that a vehicle was sitting in the middle of the road at Center Street East and 170th Avenue Northeast. Witnesses say Shaugabay possessed a syringe and had the cap still in his mouth. Sheriff’s Deputies responded just after 1 pm.
That same day, Thief River Falls Police cited Brady Ray Veselka, (38) of Middle River for 3rd and 5th Degree Controlled Substance, as well as DWI. A concerned citizen reported “someone slumber over in a vehicle” on the 100 Block of 3rd Street East in Thief River Falls. Police say they found more than 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Authorities responded to that call just before 3 pm.
