CLAY COUNTY, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Clay County authorities have arrested two men in connection with the theft of a generator and trailer valued at $45,000. Sheriff’s deputies were called to 90th Avenue North and 170th Street, west of Hitterdal, after the equipment was reported stolen. The stolen generator was recovered in an abandoned slough, and the trailer was found nearby.
Deputies set up a perimeter and located 37-year-old Jason Austin of Pelican Rapids walking along a gravel road. Later that night, state troopers apprehended 44-year-old Joshua Moen of Crosby. Both suspects are now facing felony theft and misdemeanor trespassing charges.
