BARNES CO., N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Two people are in custody after a reported armed robbery in Valley City. Law enforcement responded around 6:30 p.m. to the 200 block of College Street Northeast, where they met with two victims who identified the suspects. The suspects had fled the scene but were later tracked down to a home in Sanborn, North Dakota, approximately 15 minutes west of Valley City.
North Dakota Highway Patrol and Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to make contact with the suspects at the residence. Initially, the suspects refused to come out, but after a brief standoff, they voluntarily surrendered and were taken into custody.
Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat, and the investigation remains active.
