Friday evening at 7:48, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident.

A 1993 Chevrolet Van, driven by Timothy Turbessa-of Athens, Tennessee was southbound on Highway 32 behind a Toyota Tacoma, driven by Patric Hasswell of Atwater, Ohio, which was also southbound on Highway 32.

The Toyota Tacoma signaled to turn left onto OakGrove Drive when the Chevrolet van attempted to pass on the left and the vehicles collided.

There were no injuries however both drivers were cited as a result of the accident. Patric Hasswell, age 26, was cited for passing-unsafe driving left of the roadway.  Timothy Turbessa, age 36, was cited with no insurance.

Saturday afternoon at 4:55 pm, Thief River Falls Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 12th Street and Knight Avenue.

A 2011 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Carol Wappula of Thief River Falls, was eastbound on 12th Street and could not stop in time due to icy conditions and collided with a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Wesley McCloud of Thief River Falls, which was northbound on Knight Avenue.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
