The case was filed in Norman County District Court on February 9, 2026.

What authorities allege

According to the criminal complaint, deputies were sent to a home in Twin Valley.

The home was in the 300 block of Second Street SW.

A juvenile told deputies the group was in the kitchen.

The juvenile said Covey entered and threw people against a wall.

The juvenile said Covey pinned an adult man to the wall.

The adult man was then thrown to the floor, the complaint says.

The juvenile tried to step in and stop the fight.

The juvenile later told deputies he had a knife in his pocket.

The adult victim gave a similar account, court records say.

He said Covey first attacked the juvenile.

He said he tried to break up the fight.

He said Covey threw him down and grabbed his neck.

The victim said he could not breathe for a time.

Deputies noted scratches on the victim’s hands, the complaint states.

A juvenile witness also spoke with deputies, the complaint says.

The witness said she ran to the basement with another child.

She said they called 911 from there.

Court records say audio captured threats to kill.

One recording included a threat like, “You f***in’ dying.”
