Turkey Road Hazard in Polk County, MN

WINGER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Some turkeys are on the loose, after a semi load of live turkeys rolled over on Highway 59 early Friday morning.
we have a turkey hazard out in polk county minnesota on this friday morning a load of live turkeys in the ditch south of winger minnesota this happened just after 4 a.m sounded like radio traffic the driver of the semi was okay a photo here from advanced service and tire who’s now they’re trying to get this load upright righted they’re waiting for another truck uh but i’m told a lot of the turkeys are getting away and they’re calling up more people to get them rounded up as they try to get the mess cleaned up and the turkeys back in their cages i’m Neil Berg reporting for eye news dot tv

  1. There weren't turkeys running around. Stop being so dramatic. I was there. They didn't have to get people to " round them up either. Once the truck and trailer were upright they were towed to a lot and offloaded into another truck. It was dark and cold. If you knew anything about farm raised turkeys you'd know they huddle up in the cold. And they can hardly see in the dark. Long story short. You could dump the whole load on the field and they wouldn't go more than a few feet

  2. I worked in polk county turkey farm, they have truck drivers driving all night long during load out. If a turkey happens to touch the ground they can get other diseases from other birds, like cross contamination! So they make you kill the turkeys..
