Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On April 25 at about 4:53 a.m., dispatch received a 911 call. The dispatcher initially heard a man’s voice, but then a woman, identified as Sherry Ann Ganser, 60, from Thief River Falls, picked up the phone and claimed it was a wrong number. Ganser has been charged with interference with a 911 call and disorderly conduct, leading to her arrest.
Dispatch traced the call to the 1100 block of Meadow St. Police responded to find a man whose shirt was ripped. He stated that upon returning home, he found an upset Ganser, who seemed to be intoxicated. Ganser allegedly attacked him, backing him into a corner near a refrigerator and table. He attempted to call 911, but Ganser knocked his phone out of his hand, causing it to go under the refrigerator.
Ganser claimed the dispute began when the man left without informing her of his whereabouts. She admitted to pushing him to retrieve her cell phone, which she had kicked away. Ganser also alleged that the man pushed her and ripped her shirt.
