Fourth-degree assault of a peace officer and domestic assault
On Feb. 7, police received a report of a domestic assault in progress at Northland Village.
Brianna Renee Marshall, 24, Thief River Falls, has been charged with domestic assault and two counts of fourth-degree assault of a peace officer. She was arrested.
Marshall allegedly got into an argument with her boyfriend. While police attempted to speak with the man, Marshall yelled and swore at him. She continued yelling at the man as law enforcement escorted him back to the apartment to search for his phone.
Marshall allegedly said she had taken the man’s phone and broken it. A sheriff’s deputy later located a broken phone case in the parking lot. As the man attempted to leave, Marshall allegedly reached through the man’s open vehicle window and began pulling his hair. She was eventually handcuffed; however, she spat in the man’s face after he walked past her.
After arriving at the Pennington County Jail, Marshall got away from jail staff and said she wouldn’t enter a jail cell. The deputy and officer caught her. As they escorted her to a holding cell, she allegedly kicked at the officer multiple times, landing at least one kick to the officer’s legs.
They brought her to a holding cell, where she was placed face-down onto a mattress and jail staff attempted to conduct a pat-down search. The deputy and officer held onto her as the search was being conducted and Marshall kicked the deputy multiple times in the chest area.
