TRF Stages Another Thursday Evening Pipeline Protest; LaDuke Speaks Out Following Jail Release

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We have another pipeline protest underway by Thief River Falls on this Thursday evening …
some breaking news out of pennington county minnesota on this thursday evening at 5 30 p.m we’ve got another standoff with the protesters going on just hearing radio traffic of law enforcement they’re calling in officers from other counties this is video from yesterday we had at least a couple people maybe more arrested still waiting to get word on how all that worked out but again on this thursday evening another protest going on here uh meanwhile winona leduc just got out of jail on this thursday afternoon and made this statement uh i mean it’s winona duke and i want to say that i’ve been released from jail my three nights for being a water protector i think this is what you call the enbridge way make sure that hundreds of minnesota citizens are put in jail so that they can steal 5 billion gallons of water and put the last tar sands pipeline in while they put a bunch of us in jail but i’m having spent three three nights for being a water protector and uh standing on the easement with six other women sitting on the easement um you know i wanna say we’re gonna keep fighting beverage because it’s wrong that they steal the water it’s not patriotic governor walsh to give the water the land and our civil rights to a canadian multinational and i’m really grateful to be out of jail today in aitkin county and uh hope i don’t see the inside for a little while but who knows i’m told by an honor the earth media relations person that uh leduc had to pay a six thousand dollars bail to get out of jail and was held longer because of uh pending citations from other protests i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me

  1. I wonder how many protestors used gasoline to get to the protest site…

I'm not saying those protesting are wrong, I have sympathy for their cause. Enbridge IS an evil multinational corporation, but what's the alternative? You can tell me that renewables is the answer, but there's not enough infrastructure to supply the needs.

If this is a transition time, one where petroleum is phased out, it will take quite a while to meet the infrastructure needs!

  2. Right the protesters have diesel rigs cars trucks hypocrites am Native some times we jus need to mak due to move on to future we need gas an gas needs us how com the cars they drive the cars are fucking up the were are the air protection at water can be reused filtered

  3. They all look stupid…PROTESTING OIL PIPELINE WHILE USING PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCTS…YOU CANT HAVE CARS AND HOUSES WITHOUT USING OIL BASED PRODUCTS…I SURE DONT SEE ANY HORSES AND TEEPEES THO
