Attempted vehicle theft

On Aug. 7 at 1:34 a.m., police received a report of an attempted vehicle theft outside of 514 Dewey Ave. A man reported that someone had just attempted to steal his vehicle. He found a vehicle door open. A fan was also in operation inside the vehicle.

Vehicle theft and recovery

On Aug. 7 at 7:44 a.m., police received a report that a 1996 Dodge Ram had been stolen outside of 623 Horace Ave. N. The pickup truck was later found near the intersection of Davis Avenue and Seventh Street. Only the key was missing.

Vehicle tampering

On the morning of Aug. 7, police received two reports of vehicle tampering in the 500 block of Red Lake Blvd. A woman awoke to find that her car door was wide open outside of 512 Red Lake Blvd. Someone had also rummaged through a vehicle outside of 504 Red Lake Blvd.

Theft

On Aug. 1 at 11:50 a.m., police received a report of theft outside of 521 Markley Ave. S. Someone had stolen a license plate off of a vehicle. The license plate is 507- XZV.

Theft

On Aug. 6 at 9:43 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the parking lot of Americas Best Value Inn & Suites. Someone had stolen North Dakota license plates of 129-CAU off of a vehicle.

Accident

On Aug. 6 at 6:27 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of an accident near the intersection of 170th Avenue Southeast and 127th Street Southeast. At the time of the accident, Nathaniel Row of Thief River Falls was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruze southbound on 170th Avenue Southeast. According to the report, he didn’t see a stop sign due to dense fog. His car then jumped a ditch and landed on the south side of the ditch. The car came to rest in a field. It was unknown whether Row suffered any injuries.

Failure to comply with a peace officer

On Aug. 4 at 8:57 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of failure to comply with a peace officer at the Enbridge Line 3 protest site. Joshua Ryan Wayne Desjarlait, 18, Red Lake, has been charged with failure to comply with a peace officer. He was arrested.

 

Warrant apprehension, giving a peace officer a false name, and driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety

On Aug. 5, police received a report of suspicious activity at the Walmart loading docks. Allen James Hoff, 44, Hastings, was arrested on a Clay County warrant. He has charges pending here for giving a peace officer a false name and driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety. Hoff had allegedly parked his vehicle near the loading docks.

Theft

On Aug. 5 at 6:15 a.m., police received a report of internal theft at Walmart. Anthony Charles Lundeen, 31, Oklee, has been cited for theft. He allegedly stole merchandise.

On Aug. 5 at 6:52 a.m., police received a report of internal theft at Walmart. Lucas Myron Bolek, 22, Thief River Falls, has been cited for theft. He allegedly stole merchandise.

Vandalism

On Aug. 5 at 3:01 p.m., police received a report of vandalism in the parking lot of River Falls Estates. Someone had slashed the tires on a vehicle belonging to a Red Lake Falls man.

Accident

On Aug. 5 at 4:35 p.m., police received a report of an accident on Main Avenue North. At the time, Fella D. Drevlow of Thief River Falls was driving a 2018 Ford Transit van southbound on Main Avenue North. According to the report, he fell asleep. His van then jumped a curb, hit a light pole and a tree. No injuries were reported.

Second-degree driving while impaired and driving after revocation

On Aug. 6 at 11:55 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Sixth Street and 130th Avenue. Manuela Rose Villanueva, 26, Warroad, has charges pending for second-degree DWI and driving after revocation. She was arrested.

DWI

On Aug. 7 at 1:29 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 1 and 120th Street. Cory James Myrfield, 27, Warren, has been cited for DWI. He was arrested.

Underage drinking and driving, underage possession of alcohol, duty to drive with due care and no driver’s license

On Aug. 8 at 12:09 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Seventh Street and Horace Avenue. A 15- year-old Thief River Falls male has charges pending for underage drinking and driving, underage possession of alcohol, duty to drive with due care and no driver’s license.

Refusal to submit to a chemical test and open bottle

On Aug. 8 at 1:06 a.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Ave. N. Juan Francisco Resendez Jr., 23, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for refusal to submit to a chemical test and open bottle. He was arrested.
