On April 19 at 2:06 a.m., police received a loud noise complaint regarding 923 Reserve Ave. Jerod Erik Carlson, 36, Thief River Falls, has been cited for a public nuisance.
On April 9 at 6:31 p.m., police received a report of a theft at the Multi-Events Center. Someone had stolen the catalytic converters off of two Thief River Falls Baseball Association vans while they were parked there.
On April 10 at 9:07 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of theft near the intersection of 120th Street Northwest and Pembina Trail. A Red Lake Falls man reported that someone had stolen duck decoys, a Ghillie blanket, a layout chair, and a Gear Down duck blind.
Driving while impaired
On April 11 at 2:24 a.m., police received a report that an idling vehicle was parked near the intersection of First Street and State Avenue. The driver appeared to be slumped over. William John LaSalle, 59, Thief River Falls, has been cited for DWI. He was arrested.
Accident and failure to yield
On April 11 at 3:22 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the entrance to Walmart. At the time of the accident, Calvin Tyler Pederson of Thief River Falls was driving a 2011 Toyota Tundra northbound on Highway 59 and turned left. His pickup truck then struck a southbound 2017 Jeep Renegade driven by Chad C. Sweet of Hallock. No injuries were reported. Pederson has been cited for failure to yield. No injuries were reported.
Domestic assault – causing fear
On April 12 at 4:41 a.m., police received a report of a domestic assault in the 1000 block of Alice Dr. Daniel Mora Ayala, 24, Thief River Falls, has been cited for domestic assault – causing fear. He was arrested. Ayala and a woman argued, and the woman locked herself in a room. He allegedly kicked open the door, causing the woman to fear.
On April 16 at 1:31 p.m., police received a report of a theft at 804 Knight Ave. N. Someone had stolen numerous furniture items.
Underage drinking and driving: On April 17 at 8:06 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Avenue and 12th Street. A 17-year-old Strathcona male has charges pending for underage drinking and driving.
On April 18 at12:18 a.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Hwy. 59 S. Antonio Rua Milan, 35, Thief River Falls, has been cited for DWI. He was arrested.
On April 18 at 6:29 a.m., police received a report of a theft at 1208 Riverdale Dr. Someone had stolen an adult Huffy BMX bike.
On April 18 at 11:22 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a theft at 16401 180th Ave. N.E. A Rocky Ford, Colo., a man reported that he had dropped his dirt bike off to be fixed and the man had now told him that it had been stolen.
