Felony first-degree criminal damage to property
On Sept. 3 at 12:13 p.m., police received numerous calls about disturbances involving the same man. Corbin Devontae Gallow, 20, Thief River Falls, has been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property. He was arrested. At the time of the incident, he was out of jail on conditions of release related to a separate Aug. 9 incident for which he had been charged with two counts of felony first-degree criminal damage to property and other charges. According to the latest complaint, the newest charge stemmed from an initial call that a shirtless Gallow was walking in circles south of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2793. A short time later, another caller reported he was trying to pick fights with people in traffic and stepping into traffic. Sometime later, police learned Gallow was allegedly hitting vehicles with his fists and kicking vehicles. He also entered a building at Digi-Key. When police arrived there, they witnessed employees escorting him out of the building. A sergeant smelled alcohol on Gallow, who said he had been drinking with his landlord. However, he said he was no longer drunk. A Dodge pickup truck, which was parked in the Digi-Key parking lot, sustained about $1,200 in damage. Gallow had created two dents in the hood.
On Sept. 4 at 4:46 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of theft outside of 703 Vaughan Main St. E. in Goodridge. Someone had stolen a green 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle. The license plate is 08311M.
Vehicle theft and recovery
On Sept. 8 at 10:32 p.m., police received a report of a theft out of a garage at Rivers Bend Apartments, 102 Barnick Rd. Someone had stolen a 2009 Chevy Silverado, tools, shoes, and miscellaneous items. The pickup truck was later located in Grand Forks, N.D. The incident remains under investigation.
Accident, driving after revocation, and driving around a barricade
On Sept. 11 at 2:46 a.m., police received a report of an accident near the intersection of Eighth Street and Atlantic Avenue. At the time of the accident, Annamarie Louise Dokken Reid of Thief River Falls was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 westbound on Eighth Street. According to the report, she drove past the “road closed” signs. Her car then became stuck on the railroad tracks. Dokken Reid has been cited for driving after revocation and driving around a barricade.
Warrants apprehension, second-degree driving while impaired – controlled substance, fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, and giving a peace officer a false name
On Sept. 8 at about 9:40 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Northdale Oil Square. April Marie Bevins, 32, Callaway, has been charged with second-degree DWI – controlled substance and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Ernest Duane Clark Jr., 30, Callaway, has been charged with giving a peace officer a false name. Bevins was arrested on those charges and a Becker County warrant. Clark was arrested on a Minnesota Department of Corrections warrant. Upon arriving, an officer allegedly found both asleep in a vehicle with Bevins behind the wheel. The keys were in the ignition. Bevins allegedly slurred her words, talked slowly, seemed groggy, and had a hard time understanding things. Bevins possessed a methamphetamine pipe in her bra that contained meth residue. She also possessed two baggies containing about 3.6 grams of suspected meth. The vehicle contained a meth pipe and another baggie with suspected meth residue. Bevins gave the officer about 2.7 grams of marijuana buds and about 6.5 grams of marijuana joints that had also been inside the vehicle. The complaint indicated that she has two previous convictions for driving under the influence in 2018. The warrant was issued for a probation violation related to one of those cases. Clark allegedly gave a false name. Police learned his real name after finding his ID in the vehicle. He said he had given a false name due to his warrant.
Fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and fleeing an officer by means other than a motor vehicle
On Sept. 3 at 5:06 p.m., police received a report that a woman was walking through yards and trying to open doors in the 900 block of Tindolph Ave. S. Ashton Susie Olson, 22, Thief River Falls, has been charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and fleeing an officer by means other than a motor vehicle. She was arrested. Once police arrived, Olson allegedly ran. She was apprehended near the intersection of Greenwood Street and Kendall Avenue. Olson possessed drug paraphernalia containing methamphetamine residue. She also possessed a gram of marijuana.
Obstruction of the legal process
On Sept. 4 at 1:37 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 59 and 158th Street Northeast. Jeffrey Leighton Randall, 30, Stillwater, has been cited for obstruction of the legal process. Randall was being arrested for DWI and allegedly resisted getting into a squad vehicle. He isn’t being charged with DWI since the test result was below 0.08.
DWI and an open bottle
On Sept. 5 at 9:14 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Horace Avenue and Second Street. Brandi Rae Aasand, 32, Thief River Falls, has been cited for DWI and open bottle. She was arrested.
On Sept. 7 at 11:04 a.m., police received a report of a theft at 116 Crocker Ave. S. Someone had stolen a school computer.
On Sept. 7 at 2:18 p.m., police received a report of a theft in the 1000 block of Dewey Ave. Someone had stolen tools out of a construction trailer. They included a hammer drill, grinder, flashlight, and Sawzall. All were Milwaukee-brand tools.
Collision with an unattended vehicle
On Sept. 7 at 10:16 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run accident in the Digi-Key parking lot. At the time of the accident, Carmen Leann Moe of Thief River Falls was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey. According to the report, she backed into a 2007 Chevy owned by Bryce M. Chapin of Thief River Falls. She then left the scene. No injuries were reported. Moe has been cited for collision with an unattended vehicle.
On Sept. 8 at 5:17 p.m., police received a report of property damage in the Digi-Key parking lot. A window had been smashed on a vehicle belonging to a Warren resident.
Accident and failure to drive in a single lane
On Sept. 8 at 7:17 p.m., police received a report of an accident in the 1200 block of Greenwood St. E. At the time of the accident, Kyle John Franson of Atlantic, Iowa, was driving a 2016 GMC Terrain westbound on Greenwood Street. According to the report, he crossed the white line and his vehicle collided with a parked 2010 Chevy Silverado owned by Grant L. Asp of Thief River Falls. No injuries were reported. Franson has been cited for failure to drive in a single lane.
Driving after revocation and fleeing a peace officer by means other than a vehicle
On Sept. 10 at 2:45 p.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of Conley Ave. S. Erik William Engelstad, 32, Thief River Falls, has been cited for driving after revocation and fleeing a peace officer by means other than a vehicle. Engelstad allegedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
On Sept. 11 at 1:58 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Fifth Street and Kinney Avenue. James Lane Tracy, 25, Plummer, has been cited for DWI. He was arrested.
On Sept. 12 at 7:13 a.m., police received a report of a domestic assault in the 1200 block of Stephen St. Delwin Guy Johnson, 40, Thief River Falls, has been charged with domestic assault. He was arrested.
