On Nov. 8 at 5:39 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Nora Street and Pennington Avenue. At the time of the accident, Justin M. Holter of Thief River Falls was driving a 2002 Cadillac Escalade westbound on Nora Street. According to the report, he entered the intersection, and his vehicle then collided with a 2010 Dodge Avenger driven by Thomas D. Benson of Thief River Falls. Benson was traveling southbound on Pennington Avenue at the time. A private party later brought Benson to Sanford Medical Center. Holter reported no injuries.
On Nov. 3 at 5:47 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of the Highway 1 frontage road and Ruby Avenue. At the time of the accident, Nicole L. Loerzel of Thief River Falls was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion westbound on the Highway 1 frontage road. According to the report, her car then collided with a 2000 Lincoln Town Car driven by Donald E. Scott Jr. of Thief River Falls. Scott was driving southbound on Ruby Avenue after having crossed Highway 1. No injuries were reported.
Criminal damage to property
On Nov. 8 at 8:49 a.m., police received a report that a kid had allegedly just thrown rocks through a window at 421 LaBree Ave. N. A 14-year old Thief River Falls male has charges pending for criminal damage to property.
