TRF man faces charges of felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime

Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – David Alan Jourdain, 42, from Thief River Falls, was arrested by the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force on April 22 at 10:38 a.m. during a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 59 and Greenwood Street. He faces charges of felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime and driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety. Jourdain allegedly displayed signs of impairment and admitted to using marijuana three days prior. During the arrest, officers found $6,017 in his pants pocket. Additionally, his passenger confessed to hiding methamphetamine and glass pipes. The officers discovered bags of a crystal-like substance behind the driver’s seat, weighing a total of 5.1 grams with packaging. Jourdain admitted to smoking meth from a sandwich bag the day before but denied knowledge of the substances found in the vehicle, claiming ownership of the vehicle but stating that others had driven it recently, including his female passenger, brother, and mother.
