Train Derails in Polk County on Wednesday Afternoon

CROOKSTON, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Emergency responders are on the scene of a train derailment north of Crookston Wednesday afternoon.
Neil Berg here with some breaking news out of polk county on a wednesday afternoon we’ve had a train derailment this is about uh seven five seven miles north of uh crookston on highway 75 uh radio traffic indicated the train crew is all right this is in the same spot where we had a derailment i don’t know what it was a couple weeks ago here um just coming up on the scene now uh radio traffic indicated it was a 64 car unit train not sure how many cars derailed you see oil cars here a fire department was called out not sure about any uh possibility of hazardous uh materials on the uh train and i’ve seen a spot up here uh there were already cars uh lying on the road the same spot where there was a derailment uh like i said i’m not sure the date a couple weeks ago something like that um it’s going coming up to it now so we’re not sure how many cars of this train derailed okay those are the uh cars there from the derailment from a while ago they’re just cleaning those up yet okay after we get past these cars in the ditch you can see up ahead uh that’s where the new cars derailed this is the site of the old derailment and now we’re coming up to the site of where the train just derailed here about 3 45 this afternoon uh radio traffic came in as a bnsf train train crew was all right 64 unit train doesn’t look like too many cars are off there maybe one two three four five cars looks like one on the other side there again we scored radio traffic no injuries but around maybe five cars of a uh bnsf uh it’s a cn uh train on here derailed it’s a cn uh train and again no reports of uh any injuries i’ll try to get you more information a bit later in polk county i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
