Nick Mavar, a beloved deckhand on Discovery Channel’s hit reality series “Deadliest Catch,” has passed away at the age of 59. Mavar died on June 13 due to natural causes. The longtime fisherman, known for his role on the fishing vessel Northwestern, was at an Alaskan boatyard when he suffered a heart attack and fell from a ladder. His death has left the fishing community and fans of the show in mourning.
