According to the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Sapala’s wife contacted 911 when she hadn’t heard from him while working inside the grain bin. Emergency responders from multiple agencies rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Sapala did not survive the entrapment. No further details have been released at this time.
