Crash Narrative:

Early on June 8, 2024, a fatal accident occurred on State Highway 17 near mile marker 118, about 7 miles east of Park River. The driver of a 2021 Ford F-150 was heading westbound and failed to negotiate the “Hoople turn.” The vehicle veered off the road into the north ditch and collided with a tree. The driver, a 60-year-old male from Park River, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The incident is currently under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
