Narrative
Early on the morning of June 8, 2024, Roger Johnson was driving westbound on State Highway 17 near the “Hoople turn” when he failed to navigate the curve. His 2021 Ford F-150 continued off the road into the north ditch, where it struck a tree. Johnson suffered fatal injuries from the impact. The crash is currently under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
